Colony Bank is proud to deliver the highest level of security for our internet banking customers. We have added an additional layer of security to our log in process. This helps ensure that your information is secure, protecting you from fraud and identity theft.

Enhanced Online Security verifies your identity in two ways. Every time you log in to Internet Banking the bank identifies you, and it lets you identify the bank using a private image and pass phrase.

Effective Tuesday, June 17, 2008 Colony Bank has implemented an enhanced security feature for online banking.  The security feature is known as an “Extended Validation Certificate.” Only online banking customers using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7.0 will notice the following changes in the security features on the web page following input of the User I.D.:

1. The security lock that is normally located in the lower right-hand corner of the browser window has been moved to the address bar at the top of the page.
2. The address bar will now appear in light green.
3. Beside the lock, the text will rotate between Colony Bankcorp and Verisign.

These new features verify that the customer is truly on Colony Bank’s Web site and not a fraudulent site. Customers using web browsers other than Internet Explorer version 7.0 may not experience any changes in the security features on the Web site.

Colony will never contact our customers by e-mail to enroll or solicit any new product or product offerings.
